dr bernfeld Barry D. Bernfeld, MD received his bachelor's degree from Queens College, New York City and his master's and MD from Washington University, St. Louis. He completed general surgery residency training at Jewish Hospital/Washington University, St. Louis and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital/University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He spent two years as a commissioned corps officer in the Public Health Service-Indian Health Service, Browning, MT (Blackfeet Reservation). Dr. Bernfeld is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Bernfeld has practiced surgery in Yakima since 1984 with an emphasis on breast cancer, thyroid, parathyroid, laparoscopic abdominal surgery, general abdominal surgery, and hernia repair.
dr conroy Robert J. Conroy, MD received his bachelor's and master's degrees from California State University, Fresno in biology and remained for a year as a member of the faculty teaching human anatomy and physiology. He received his MD from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC and completed a general surgery residency at Wake Forest University Medical Center/North Carolina Baptist Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Conroy has had a surgical practice in Yakima since 1997 with an emphasis on laparoscopic abdominal surgery, general abdominal surgery colon cancer, breast cancer, thyroid, parathyroid and hernia repair.
dr kisala John M. Kisala, MD received his bachelor's degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency program at the University of Illinois, Metropolitan Group Hospitals, Chicago and has been an assistant professor of surgery at Michigan State University since 1987. Dr. Kisala is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His general surgery practice emphasizes breast cancer, general abdominal surgery, laparoscopic surgery, colon cancer, hernia repair and surgical diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.
dr young Peter R. Young Jr., MD received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina (UNC), Chapel Hill and received his MD from the UNC School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency program at Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC during which he completed one year as the Bradshaw Research Fellow with an interest in trauma. Dr. Young is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was in private practice in general surgery in Raleigh, NC for two and a half years prior to joining Cascade Surgical Partners in January, 2001. His general surgery practice emphasizes general abdominal surgery, laparoscopic surgery, breast cancer, colon cancer, hernia surgery and surgical diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.
